THE ARCHITECTURE
OF DEATH

HAMPSTEAD Cemetery

Opened in 1876, Hampstead Cemetery is a beautiful burial ground in the North West of London.

The remains of some 60,000 people are believed to have been interred within the 26 acre site, a small minority of which are remembered with beautiful memorials that would not be out of place in some of the capital’s better known cemeteries.

Notable burials include British flight pioneer Horace Short and the art historian Anthony Roth.
